Gotion High-Tech has unveiled a new-generation CTB heavy-truck battery system offered in sizes from 400 kWh to 700 kWh, according to Gasgoo, which reported it on Oct. 21, 2026, and Shanghai Metals Market (SMM), which ran the news a day earlier.

Gotion's range spans from a 400 kWh short-haul size to 700 kWh for long trunk routes.

Both outlets give the same core figures. The pack reaches up to 250 Wh/L by volume and more than 160 Wh/kg at pack level. Removing redundant frames and module layers cuts pack height to 943 mm, about 40% lower than a standalone pack, and Gotion says the truck ends up about 400 kg lighter, with the saved mass usable as payload. The two outlets expand the CTB acronym differently (cell-to-bracket at Gasgoo, cell-to-body at SMM), so Voltgrid uses the abbreviation only.
Gasgoo describes liquid cooling and heating, with cooling pipes placed outside the pack and a water-electricity separation design meant to lower the coolant-leak risk and ease servicing. An optional PTC ceramic heater covers extreme cold. Gotion says the system has completed 6,000 km of vehicle durability driving tests.
